FUND RAISING
Every organization could use a successful fundraising event every now and then. Honu Catering can help you raise funds for your school, church, civic group or club by auctioning off a small, intimate dinner for 6-12 people personally catered by Uncle Joe.
A small dinner party for as many as 12 can be prepared and served in the home of the successful bidder. Pacific Rim and Hawaiian Regional dishes from appetizers to desserts will be served. The successful bidder will have the option to choose from one or several regions. Honu Catering can, for example, prepare a Japanese appetizer with a Chinese flavored salad, a Thai pork dish, a Hawaiian-style grilled chicken, and a Filipino dessert. Dozens of combinations are possible because you can select the dish you desire for each course.
The cost of the dinner starts at $300. From past experience, a benefactor pays for Honu Catering's services, donates it to the fund-raising organization, which in turn auctions it off and sells the services to the highest bidder. Another scenario is to set the budget prior to the auction (say $300), start the bidding at $300, and your organization gets to keep any amount of money exceeding $300 as a result of the bidding process. Successful bids for our services have been in the $500 to $1000 range.
The participants of the auction have fun bidding, the winners immensely enjoy their privately-catered dinner, and your organization reaps the benefits from the auction.
